Within software programs, there are many ways to duplicate objects including traditional methods like copy and paste.
However, here’s a way to quickly duplicate objects without using as many mouse clicks:
Microsoft Office
- Select the object(s) that you want to duplicate.
- Hover over the object with your mouse, press and hold the CTRL key.
- While still pressing the CTRL key, click and drag the object to the new location.
Its exactly the same in the other Microsoft Office programs.
1. Select the object(s).
2. Press and hold the CTRL key.
3. Click and drag the object to the new location.
Other Office Programs
Adobe Programs
- Select the object(s) that you want to duplicate.
- Move over the object with your mouse, press and hold the ALT key.
- While still pressing the ALT key, click and drag the object to the new location.
Again, it’s exactly the same in the other Adobe programs.

Google Programs
