Well versed in the systems they are training. I came in with no knowledge of Camtasia and left feeling much more confident with the skills and tools I needed to create content, thanks to Mark. Would highly recommend Keystroke LearningPosted on Google![]()

I recommend absolutely everyone who needs training to come here. Mark and Brendan run incredible classes and the public courses are guaranteed to run even if you're the only one signed up. That's how I got some one-on-one Excel Advanced training this week. Mark was a fantastic teacher - very patient, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I've come away thinking Excel is COOL. The training facility is great, they keep it stocked with TimTams, tea and coffee, and there is a food court downstairs for lunch. I wouldn't go anywhere else! 😊Posted on Google![]()

Mark delivered a Power BI beginners course to our team, and he was absolutely fantastic! The content was engaging, and he adapted to the specific needs of the attendees. Mark was also incredibly easy to work with to organise this training. I would not hesitate to use Keystroke Learning again for our future training needs!Posted on Google![]()

I did the Excel Intermediate and Advanced training with Mark and I had a great experience. The course took a great holistic approach to covering the different aspects of Excel and Mark also took time to show how different elements of the program could be useful in my role specifically, spending longer on the parts of the program that were necessary for me. With a promise of lifetime support, giving me the ability to reach out at any point where I continue to be a bit stuck with Excel, I am very happy with my choice to train with Keystroke

Is Microsoft Access still relevant with all the new database options available?
Absolutely! While there are many database options available today, Microsoft Access remains a powerful tool for creating and managing databases, especially in business environments. It’s particularly valuable for:
- Small to medium-sized businesses needing custom database solutions.
- Departments within larger organisations managing local data.
- Creating prototype databases before scaling to larger systems.
- Users who need both database and user interface capabilities in one package
How long are your Microsoft Access courses?
We deliver Microsoft Access training at both Introduction and Intermediate/Advanced levels, with each course running for two full days. Sessions are structured between 9am and 4pm, so learners can cover a solid foundation or dive into more complex database skills.
What is the cost of the course, and are there any additional fees?
Think of our training like your favourite coffee order, it comes in different sizes and with plenty of variations, because every organisation’s requirements are different, we’ll prepare a tailored quote to give you an exact cost.
If you’d like a ballpark figure before requesting a quote, take a look at our Pricing and Customisation page. There you’ll find guide prices that show what most clients can expect, with no hidden extras. Your course fee includes everything needed including training materials, resources, and plenty of those “aha!” moments.
Need a quote or have questions? Give us a ring at (03) 9999 7780, shoot us an email at [email protected], or through our contact form. We’re always happy to chat!
What level of Microsoft Access knowledge do I need to take your courses?
We offer courses for all skill levels, from absolute beginners to advanced users.
Our Introduction course assumes no prior knowledge, while our Intermediate/Advanced courses build on existing skills.
If you’re unsure which course is right for you, give us a call – we’re happy to help you find the perfect fit!
Will I be able to create my own databases after the course?
Like learning any new skill, becoming proficient with Access takes practice. Our Introduction course gives you the essential building blocks and hands-on experience you need to start creating basic databases. You’ll practice:
- Planning and creating simple database structures.
- Setting up tables and fields.
- Understanding and building table relationships.
- Creating user-friendly forms.
- Generating basic reports.
While you won’t leave as a database expert (that takes time and real-world experience), you’ll have the confidence and fundamental knowledge to start building your own databases. Many of our students begin with simple database projects and gradually tackle more complex ones as their skills grow. Plus, with our lifetime post-course support, you’ll have help available when you need it as you develop your database skills.
Think of it like learning to cook – our course gives you the recipes, techniques, and practice with the tools. The more databases you build back at work, the more comfortable and skilled you’ll become!
What is the return on investment (ROI) of taking the course?
The return on investment can be significant, particularly with the 2-day format offering comprehensive database expertise. Many of our students share positive outcomes after implementing their new Microsoft Access skills.
While it’s hard to put an exact figure on it, consider how much time you could save each week by being more efficient over a year, this can add up to substantial time and cost savings for you or your organisation.
Let’s consider a course priced at $1,200 with a 12-hour duration. For a participant earning $40 per hour, the total investment, including opportunity cost, comes to $1,680 ($1,200 + $480).
Now, assume the course enables the participant to save 30 minutes per workday. Over a typical work year of 250 days, that adds up to 125 hours saved annually.
The value of time saved: 125 hours × $40/hour = $5,000 per year.
In this example, the course delivers an impressive 198% ROI based purely on productivity gains. The participant’s investment is recovered in just over 3 weeks. This demonstrates how the course can significantly boost efficiency, even with a conservative estimate of 30 minutes saved per day.
How will the course be taught?
Like all our courses, Microsoft Access training is hands-on and practical. While we’ll explain database concepts, you’ll spend most of your time actually building and working with databases. This practical approach means you’ll be ready to create and manage your own databases back at work.
What course materials do you provide?
Manuals and Training Files
So that you won’t need to carry home a printed manual, all participants on our face-to-face courses receive a PDF copy of the course manual and associated training files.
However, a printed copy can be made available at an additional cost.
Participants also get a pen and A5 Notepad to scribble down all those lovely tips and tricks for later.
Manuals and Training Files
For courses delivered online, links to our course manuals and exercise files are made available to participants to download prior to training. If you forget to download the files, they will be available on the day.
Is the course curriculum up-to-date with the latest Microsoft Access features and best practices?
Definitely! We continuously update our course content to reflect the latest features in Microsoft Access and industry best practices.
Our trainers are Microsoft Access experts who stay on top of new developments to ensure you’re learning the most current and relevant skills.

Can you explain what 'closed course' means?
A closed course is a specific type of training arrangement. Let me explain what it typically means:
A closed course, also known as a private course, is:
- Exclusively arranged for a single organisation or group.
- Not open to the general public.
- Often customised to meet the specific needs of the client.
Key features of a closed course:
- Attendees are typically from the same company or organisation.
- The content can be tailored to address specific organisational needs or challenges.
- The schedule is often more flexible, arranged to suit the client’s preferred dates and times.
- Usually held at the client’s premises or at the Keystroke Learning’s training facility.
- The group size can be adjusted based on the organisation’s requirements.
- Confidentiality is maintained as sensitive company information can be discussed freely.
Closed courses are beneficial for organisations that want to train a group of employees together, ensure consistent skill development across a team, or the company.
